Soft top material
« on: April 17, 2016, 00:21:15 »
I'm looking into purchasing a soft top for my car. Bud's Benz has a twill fast material for $425 and german material for $525. They claim that the twill fast is better. Any thoughts? Why is it better? How does it look originality wise?

The original material is "Sonnenland - Classic" with the tan (not black!) waffle-weave on the inner skin manufactured by the Haartz Company:

Many of us have bought tops from GAT: https://www.germanautotops.com/mercedes-benz/mercedes-convertible-tops ,
great service and perfect fit!

I ordered samples from GAHH, German Auto Tops and from World Upholstery---

GAT was clearly the best quality and 66andblue is 100 % correct.

John at GAT- is working on my interior as we "type" --they are great to deal with!
