Chrom trim bar

Hi everyone ,

I have 280sl 1969 European model , anyone knows why it doesn't come with 2 chrome trim bars  on the top ?

The chrome bars, for fitting ski racks, were an optional extra.

  If you have your data card then you will be able to read it and see if it did originally have them.  The data card can be obtained from Tom Hansen at the MB Classic Centre CA.

My hard top does have the chrome bars.
