Just bought an E350
« on: August 06, 2016, 12:13:05 »
I decided to trade my 2013 C300 Sport for a 2014 CPO E350 Luxury.  What a smooth ride...  I love how much room the car has.  This will be my daily driver.  I spend 2 hours a day in the car so I wanted to be comfortable.  Here are some pictures.

Hey Brad,
Nice ride, congratulations ! You are fortunate to drive both the modern and classic MBs.
It was really nice seeing you and your car (the 230 SL) at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix a few weeks ago.
That was a fun event.

The luxury model is smoother than the sport that's why I picked this car.  I just drove to Canada for a small trip and the gas mileage is great for a large car.  I got over 31 MPG on 2 separate tanks of gas.

Iconic,
It was good to see you at the PVGP.  That is the best weekend car show in the area each summer.

We went to the Guild of Automotive restorers and I met Dave Grainger the owner.  There is a TV show called "Restoration Garage" on velocity channel that features the Guild.

Very nice ride Brad.  If I know you, you got this car for a song.  You'll have to teach me how you do that.

Next time you are passing through this way let me know and we can meet up for a meal and a pint.

Where in Canada are you?  I know there are quite a few Pagoda members in Ontario.  Next time I make the trip I'll let you know and we could meet up.

You'll have to teach me how you do that.

Hi Marcus,

It's not too hard a few steps I use:-

A) get to know a good sales manager and deal only with him
B) have him look for what you like and call you when he finds it
C) never purchase a new Benz (unless you plan for it to be your last car).
D) have that indevidual (I deal with the sales manager only) find one that
E)  negotiate the best deal you can and be prepared to walk away

When you walk away, make sure they have your number. They will call you with a better offer if there was room to lower the price.

Early last year I had a E350 4 MATIC - Black Ecterior and Red Seats with Black trim (I had plans to change the wheels to turbine wheels and add a spoiler back then) I sort of missed my ///M3 so I ask my contact to find me a low mileage 2012 C63 Black Exterior and Red Seats with Black trim. They found one for me, including the turbine wheels I always wanted and a carbon spoiler. Next time I see you I'll tell you the rest of the story (just ask me why I traded my former ///M3).

Nice car Brad,

my dash looks like yours, only mine is black carbon trim. Mine has a few more Ponies under the hood and a slightly more noticeable exhaust tone, then I like it that way. The ride is indeed smooth.
