best jack up location for winter storage
« on: October 15, 2016, 16:38:17 »
I want to put some blocks under the car so the wheels are just a bit of the floor.
Are these the best positions?

If you want to do that then use the same locations front and back that are used for the jack. I just add 4 psi more air to each tire as normally recommended and all is good.

Or use the same points the garage uses on a lift.

The spots that Motoring Investments is using are good ones.  The rear suspension plates are pretty thick and the front rails are strong as well.  They see a lot of very high dollar W113's so I would follow their lead.  Do not use the "tail" of the front frame rail under the footwells as it will crush and push the floor up.  Keep it where they have it.
