Gentlemen,
After a lot of cleaning, sanding electroplating etc, I am now starting to put my engine parts back together.
This question is about the oil filter housing. I read (too late) in my MB book that the central hollow bolt (the one that holds the long canister bolt) should never be removed because it is 'glued' in the topcover.
(see pic, it is indicated with the crew driver). Since I HAVE removed it, what is the recommendation? Put some sealant around the head, or use a metal seal, or nothing?
Thanks again guys,
Jan
