Anyone in DC (this time) who could help look at a car?!
« on: November 24, 2016, 00:24:45 »
After my abortive attempts to find someone in the midwest who may be able to take a look at a nice 124, I've had to move on. I've been contacted by someone in near Chevy Chase (the place, not the person) who is selling a 124. However, it definitely sounds like it needs a look over. I don't suppose our network extends to this area? Can anyone recommend anyone who could look at it? As ever very happy to pay for time and fuel, drinks, lunch, etc.

Thanks in exasperation.

Hi Guyke,

I've updated my profile. I'm actually in the US. There are plenty of 320 cabs over here. There are very few coupes that are worth what people are asking. I'm on the E Coast in the US.

Hi Guy,

I'm very much still looking. I'm after a coupe; but standard with no extras. Just as they came to the US, which was actually pretty well equipped. They had if anything too much electronics (seats, headrests, seatbelt extenders, etc). The engine was 3.2. Unlike the UK the 2.2 never seemed to be offered - at least I've never seen one. Still hoping some kind soul near DC will take a look at the car I've found!
