The Amelia 2017
« on: February 22, 2017, 20:23:08 »
Are any of you coming to the 22nd Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance?  If so, I want to hook you up with a writer who'll be doing a an article about our members in attendance.  He also wants photos of the cars.

Send me a PM if you can be here.  I'll be in the Ballroom Friday and Saturday directing the seminars and in the TV tent on Sunday directing the coverage of the awards.  I hope to at least say Hi to you.

Meanwhile, here's the promotional spot we produced for the event.  It's running on the Velocity network between now and March 11.

Hi Ray,

Wish I could come, unfortunately I have other commitments. Have fun, will you make a video of the winners? Nice promotional shoot btw.

Dick,

How do you manage those 9 fine cars, the week only has 7 days :)

Good question.  Interestingly enough restoring cars has given me the trait of "patience" which I never had.  It helps me in business and let's me enjoy life more.  People should get to expect that things will not be done correctly, on time, or the first time nowadays.  Unfortunately today --- if you take that opinion your life will be enhanced.  Similar to driving fast.  It is much more fun to watch folks blow past me and then put on their brakes, even though I could blow them away!
