need a replacement head for my w113 M130

After a mere 175,000 miles, the head on my 1969 280SL is kaput.  Have a very good mechanic working on it (used by several M-B club members), in Downers Grove (suburb w. of Chicago), and he tells me that it is beyond repair.  Thus far, we haven't been able to locate a replacement.  Thus, I need to source one in good to excellent condition, or find a magician out there who can repair it.  I have had the car since September 1970, and have personally put over 160K miles on her.  Nothing could cause me to give her up.  However, in her non-running state, she's a major disappointment.
And, so, I am turning to all of you who may have a helpful suggestion as to where to source a replacement.  Thanks in advance for your help.          David

Which head do you have?  The '' 280 '' head or the '' 280SE/A ''  head?  What are you being told about your old head?  Cut too many times, warped, or corrosion problems?

I believe I have three heads, two 280SE, and one 280SE/A.
Unfortunate thing is that two of them are coming attached to the engine assembly - only one 280SE is just a head alone.

PM me with your contact details.
