Hi Jim
Nice to see someone from the area join the gang...I'm in Shawville Quebec an hour from you and my car is a converted "california coupe", done by a previous owner/restorer. There appears to be some small mods that need to be done.... the wheel arches in the soft top compartment need to have a depression hammered in to allow the arms to nest when the top is folded, the aluminum wall of the top compartment has to be added, some brackets need to be welded in place, a donor well/top cover needs to be found and the arms to go with it, the proper cover gasket rim needs to be fitted and the floor panels need to be fitted unless you plan to use the bench seat without a backrest and even then it won't look right. It is certainly a lot of work, but mine shows it can be done. Perhaps you could have a look at my car and see what's involved. By the way I have replacement rear floor panels for sale, I'm a cabinetmaker and they aren't available, so I have reproduced them (I needed a set). It's hardly top down weather these days (-24F or -34C last night)but we should plan on a spring meet with the half dozen or so Ottawa owners (none of whom are on this list, except for Rupert in Arnprior)
Drop me a line and we can talk about it.
Richard
