Radio interference click
« on: July 31, 2017, 15:17:27 »
I have static interference (a click) on my radio when I switch the wipers on or off, when the transmission double solenoid actuates and when I am slowwing to a stop.
I have the Hot Spark ignition so I removed the capacitor that was on the distributor. I am not sure if I have or where to look for an alternator capacitor.
Where should I place capacitors to reduce this crackling?

Thank you,
Radu

Is this on the AM band or is it on the FM band?

Hi,
you have 3 alternatives:
- noise elemination near the origin: you need noise filter for each origin
- noise elemination near the radio: you need 1 noise filter
- combination of both
First I would try to install a noise filter in front of the radio, e.g.
