w111 Washer Pump Location
« on: August 25, 2017, 01:29:47 »
I  know the 250SE washer pump is located somewhere near the brake booster.

Does anyone have a picture or somehow indicate where it lives?

Thanks,

Paul

On a W111, that is the washer fluid reservoir. The pump is a foot operated bellows and should be on the left side of the foot well. Normally where the high beam switch would be on most cars. It has a switch on it that automatically starts the wipers while the washers are squirting.

I think he is asking where the reservoir is located Wallace. On mine is hanging of the battery top frame although I doubt that is the original location.

My car evidently was retrofitted with an electric washer pump. The old rubber bladder is still there. Thanks for the help.

Yes, the reservoir is indeed mounted on the upper battery frame. That is a stock position. The V-8s (3.5L) are of course different. But as far as I know, the washer pump was always a foot pump on the W11 cars.

Yes thanks all. The car was retrofitted with an electric pump. The original works fine. Thanks again,

Paul
