131 pastel grey

hi everyone ,
I bought pagoda white color but in the data card it say the hardtop is 131 pastel grey and I m planning to replace it ,but before that I want to see the color sample how it looks like , anyone know how to see the sample ?

Hi Taleb,
Goto 'Technical Manual' on this forum and look for paint codes. I dont see nr 131 or pastel gray, so it might not have been a standard Pagoda colour. You might find it under Mercedes paint codes or DB 131.
Keep in mind that it is a HUGE job to paint a Pagoda roof properly.

I looked at my Glasurit paint code book and it shows DB 131 as becoming available in 1972. Is yours a very late car?

I have attached a copy of the page from the book (also keep your skeptical glasses on, this is a photo taken from a paint book).

Well, are your sure about the "131" being the hardtop color code?
Isn't the "131" rather filled in the box "Ausstattung" rather than in "Lackierung UT and OT" ??

Newbies are easily getting confused with their datacards until they have fully understood how to read or interpret it correctly.

For me it appears as if you have a 280 SL (the only one which could have interior code "131")
and the 131 is not the hardtop color but the interior code (131 = black MB-Tex).

What does the color code plate say on the left inner fender?
Perhaps 181 rather than 131 ??
181 = light beige; 131 did not (yet) exist in 1970/1971
