Hi Guys, I always thoguht the brackets holding the sub floor fuel lines were gold Cad plated but I see the kit being sold by SLS has them with a black finish. What was the original finish for these? Thanks. Rob.

That is right, they were, from factory.
In the kit depicted you have parts as they are being made today.

I'd be willing to bet that even if Rob's parts were OEM new (as opposed to NOS) they'd be black.
That's what I ran into with a new auto transmission filler tube some years ago...

The black without the holes are the currently supplied Mercedes Part.  Those of us who live in areas where corrosion is an issue have seen the original clamps rot away.  I would guess the black epoxy costing is an update to keep that from happening.  Since the black straps are currently supplied by Mercedes they and the yellow cad ones would both be OK at a Mercedes judged event.

All that said I bought the black ones, stripped off the paint and yellow cad plated them.

The 70 and 71 US spec cars added a 4th line under the car for evaporative emissions.  Unfortunately, the black rubber buffers are no longer available so if anyone has those treat thm with care.

Yes, they are available, 72 hours in my place, perhaps faster in other geographies. I am writing because sometimes price shows up, but part is not available. These have a yellow dot in Webparts.

Hmmm.... I tried to get them a few months ago and even though they were listed it came back a NLA(No Longer Available).  I emailed Tom Hanson at the US Classic center and he confirmed NLA and not to return.  Maybe they are back again.  I will try and order.

I see them in the system. They are in Central Warehouse in Germany, that is why it is 72 hours, not 48. Never happened to me that a part with a yellow dot was not available. But there is always the first time...
