Autosol - Anyone used this before?

I searched the forum but there was no match. Just thought I would share this great product with everyone. I bought my 230SL not long ago. Am preparing to restore it. But then I thought I would clean it up in the mean time just so it's respectable to drive in for a while.

One of the back bumpers was covered in rust. About 80% of it. I used Autosol and all the rust is gone. Just some deep damage remaining. The bumper is now very shiny and getting it re-chromed is not so urgent now. This product is just amazing. It's just called Autosol Metal Polish. Made in Germany. Their slogan is "A Classic of Our Times" and I totally agree.  Not sure it it's available in the US but if you come across it, it's definitely worth a try. It's simply amazing.

Eryk,

Now that you've cleaned the outside, you should treat the backside as well. Disolve any corrosion and paint it with a good rust-preventative paint.

Autosol has been around for quite some time.  I first started using the product back in the early eighties.
