Hi, and Welcome to or Pagoda SL Group, one way you might get feedback on your question if not here would be to go to the "Members" option above (should no one reply here).

Here is the link ---> https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?action=mlist

Once you open the link you can sort it. So click on "Location" in the table this then will sort the data base for you and you can page thru until you come to your area. Once there you might send a Member near you a PM.

Once again Welcome and post some photos of your car, we all love to see the treasure you have found :)

I had a great experience having my Pagoda serviced at Mercedes of Alexandria.  Wheel balance and alignment.  Before removing the tires, they first taped the rims to protect them from the pneumatic gun and handled the car with extreme TLC.  Jack Lindeman is the contact person at 703-997-4890 and has a real heart for these vintage Mercedes.  They sent pictures along the way as the work progressed.  Price was reasonable.

However, if your car is in poor condition and has been poorly cared for, then this might be an expensive option.  If that is the case, you probably want to send the car to a reputable restoration shop and have some mechanical restoration work done before sending it to the dealer

My car is fully restored. The odometer stopped working last week - the speedometer works fine. I spoke to the restorer and need to get the speedometer out of the dash without damaging the dash paint and then send it to North Hollywood or Palo Alto for repair. Thank you for the recommendation - with my Porsche's, I have never had much luck with them working on older cars.
