Incinerated Pagoda_Santa Rosa fire

Hello All,
My neighbor George lost his Pagoda in our big fire. My Pagoda was in my garage a quarter mile up the street and is undamaged. Go figure - - .
I do not know the melting point of windshield glass, but notice that the hood, boot and door skins have vaporized.
His neighbor's Boxster did not fare much better.
Larry - - in what is left of Santa Rosa

Fire makes it easy to differentiate between steel and alloy parts. Sorry for everyones' losses.

Larry,
I want to say something, but I am having trouble finding the words.
Good luck to you, your family, your friends, and neighbors.

^Echo that ^
But the randomness of it must be particularly hard to grasp - there are untouched trees in full colour in the background.

A sad sight indeed. I am sure there would have been lots more collector cars lost.

Truly a sad sight. I hope we don't see this for sale somewhere soon for $15,000 as "excellent candidate for restoration"...

Larry, What a terrifying experience for you and all your neighbors to have gone through. It is a sad sight to see such destruction and loss of life on such a large scale. My heart goes out to you and all the other fellow Californians that lost everything in these fires, the worst in the states history.

Not meaning to ask a stupid question, or appear insensitive in what must be a heart-wrenching and frightening experience - but does anyone think the chassis (thereby car) is in some way salvageable? Most of the lines appear roughly correct.
Reckon I might have seen worse on "bring a trailer".
I can only hope that the owner is well compensated by his insurance company and buys a replacement Pagoda soon.......and I would love to hear that someone with the right resources (certainly not me) can somehow resurrect what was once a beautiful machine.
....it bothers me to think there is one less Pagoda in the world.

Glad everyone is ok... things can be replaced, people can't.... Hopefully insurance will fully cover any losses so they can focus on coming to terms with rebuilding.
To RobSirg point, that looks like a very straight body (probably less rust than mine!) and although a massive project it is rebuild-able, either at a significant expense or a significant amount of time and expense.

I would think that the sheer heat would have change the strength of the steel remaining. My interest would be if parts of the engine, gearbox and drive train would be ok.
A local near where I live in Woodend Victoria, had a fire in his garage about two years ago and his car apparently looked similar to the one pictured with even the windscreen pillars bending in the heat.. He phoned me just as he was at the recycle depot to see if I was around and interested in it. I was away at the time and so it did get dumped to a scrap metal merchant. Pity
