Not Pagoda centered but I thought the group would find it of interest.  The story of the Sprite is about my daughter and grandkids and the car I resurrected for them

Well done Joe,
What a nice way of passing on the love of classic cars.
30 years ago I bought an MGB on a whim. Was not really what I wanted and passed it on to my Dad. 27 years later, after he passed, my Mom gave it back to me. We loved it, but I passed it on to our son.
Regards

Cute MGB - that would be a bit of an anomaly here in America with only two windshield wipers - 73-74 Grill and 72-73 bumper over riders - very nice colour combination.

Hi Ian,
I did not realise that the US delivered MGB had 3 wipers. Thought only the E Types had 3.
I managed to get a Heritage certificate during my last visit to the UK. It is indeed a 74 LHD built for and delivered to Austria and as far as I know was imported to South Africa in the early 80s. We bought it in Cape Town in 86, in quite good condition and seemed stock. I assume the bumpers were stock for the EU, could also have been an optional extra
I kept it standard except for swopping over from LHD to RH in 2013.

The three wiper U.S. cars came about because of a Federal standard that required that the wipers sweep more than 80% of the glass area.  However, it's more than just a matter of two v.s. three wipers - the right-hand drive cars have wiper motors that park left and left-hand drive cars have wiper motors that park right.
