Hardtop repair

My hardtop was damaged by someone pushing my 280SL into it with great force. The hardtop was standing against the wall of my garage in front of my car. The rear glass and one side glass was broken, the hardtop twisted, the headliner punctured and the top dented. A very good Metal Man did rebuild the metal structure, fitted it on the car and removed the dent. I have obtained new glass and rubber sealing strip. We were wondering what the sequence of operations should be: Painting, then install the glass, then install new headliner. Or: install new headliner, paint and then install the glass. Where can I get the original headliner material? Help please!

I hope painting comes first since that is what I did with mine. Also seems to be the sequence Motoring Investments used in their restorations as evidenced by the photos on their site.

Paint it then install the new headliner and finally the glass would be the order
to get it properly done. Part of the headliner is glued inside the window opening making
it impossible to get it right(factory correct) with the glass installed.

I wouldn’t spend much time looking for a “pointed coroner” but you will find clips with pointed corners. Dang auto spell.

Well, Frank, I just could not leave that one alone. I am so very frustrated with this entire affair I could not sleep. That was a 2 o'clock in the morning stab. Dealing with one particular woman at GEICO, her name is Kimberly Jaworski, is very frustrating. She is careless and cares less. Gets facts wrong and upsets me. Perhaps she does that on purpose to rattle me. There was an allegation the accident was engineered by me to collect insurance. I am just very upset. But I have the wall in my house repaired and a new garage door to keep the weather out. The Pagoda is still at the body shop and I miss the car. We have had some very nice days and I would have enjoyed driving the car to Starbuck's
