I was working with John at German Auto Tops and he showed me some carpet that he had custom colored in Maroon. According to John, this is much closer to original Maroon. This is Multi-loop for the later cars.
He advised that when folks needed Maroon carpet, they usually got a more red carpet vs what the factory had installed. It's a very nice Maroon. Unfortunately my color scheme does not work with Maroon / Red but thought others might be interested if they were in the search for this color.
The photos show the more Red carpet that was typically the replacement and the new Maroon carpet that John says he had made. It is two-tone.
