Wiring loom Tape

Hi to all'
My wiring loom is held together with plastic electrical tape.I am trying to rebuild the car as close as possible to factory finish, and wonder what was used to bind the loom originally.
What was the material (cloth style friction tape ?)or its closest modern day equivalent, and information on a supplier.
It will need to be rebound in something,what do the top restoration shops use?

My 67 230Sl Euro had three types of loom covering. Most of the loom was covered with a vinyl tubing, but in several areas it was covered with a cloth type friction tape. There were also some areas covered with a very thin vinyl wrap. The frition tape and vinyl wrap are available from Eastwood. The tubing is available through Rhode Island Wiring Service. If you do a search you'll find several discussions on the rebuilding of the wiring harness which includes discussions of the coverings.
