Fuel Line Supplier in Europe

Hi all,

I want to replace the steel fuel supply and return lines (between fuel supply pump and fuel injection pump) on my W111.

I can see that SLS in Germany provide these "off the shelf" for W113's but not for W111's.

Does anybody know:-
1. Could the W113 version sold by SLS be made to fit a W111? As supplied it It still requires bending to suit the individual car.
2. An alternative supplier in Europe who might stock these lines for W111's?
3. A supplier who stocks the individual components (in the correct materials) allowing me to make the completed lines myself?

Also can anybody confirm the correct Outside Diameter of the tubing? I have measured it on my car but it is not necessarily the original (correct) tubing.

I just had a couple of lines made. Same company but different times so they looked different but think they’ll do the job.  Cost me $50 instead of $250+ for each new.

Thanks for replying but they only sell W113 versions too.

I am beginning to think I could just run these from the front to the rear of the car and then make up any difference in length with braided fuel hose.

Peter, I bought both from Mercedes. I can check diameter on Friday.

What the EPC is saying:
The straight line, A1299970282, was made the same for both Europe and America for engines 129 980, 981, 982 and 130 980, 981, 983 (US) and 130 980, 981, 983, 984 Europe.
The bent one, A12907000632, was made for exactly the same engines.

So you just need to check if you have one of these engines in your sedan and if so, it should fit.

Thanks for replying. As usual you are a super helpful guy.

I have an M127 engine in my car.

I expect the connection at the ends should be the same for the various models of the same period but it is the length I am concerned with. The wheelbase of a W111 220se Cabrio is 275cm and a W113 230SL is 240cm.

I haven't tried Mercedes as forum posts from many years ago describe these parts as "No Longer Available".

The ones I listed are available, just expensive (ca $200 a piece). I have no idea if/how the parts for Pagoda and from M129/130 will fit M127, but may not.

I suggest it is better to obtain an advise from someone who knows these engines, pumps and lines if you can make it fit. They may be quite different. The "S" one I do not even see on the drawing for M127 in the shape from the picture.

Or get to MB with the VIN number.

In the end I bought from Werner Karasch.

I didn't get the original 1963 MB parts but the replacements used on later versions. All original though (and yes...super expensive for what they are).
