Go visit Burlingame Motors (Rene Weigand). He is a specialist in W113s and will have good recommendations for you.

Be advised:

In 2008 I had a very difficult time finding a Bay Area body shop that would spray lacquer (DB 172) onto my 230SL.

Good luck finding one these days! I did prevail, finally, by finding a shop in Sunnyvale that was going out of business and therefore was not worried about being cited for a CARB violation.

Most of the shops said "take it to Nevada".

Highly recommend Joe Compani at Compani Kolor. He is in Hayward and does a lot of roadsters and hot rods. His work is not cheap but absolutely top quality. He did a full restoration on the body of my 69' 280SL and it is flawless. He's an all or nothing kind of guy, so depending on your expectations and needs he may be more than you're looking for. That being said, he replaced floor boards, front and rear clips, rust, etc. and the results are amazing. PM me if you want contact info or an introduction.
