The majority have spoken, It's to be this coming Saturday morning, 18 January 2020.
The plan is to meet a little bit earlier as there are two possible drives that some may wish to take to get to the same place. Meeting at at 0830:
Mancave Garage and store; 95 Cochranes Rd Moorabbin.
Meeting Time at 0830 for departure no later than 0900 for Emerald Lake Bakery Emerald. With coffee/breakfast that would put most back home by 1200-1230.
The proposed route:
Take the M1 ( Monash) past the Berwick turnoffs and exit on the C101to “Officer”. Continue on the C101 and then exit on the C411 towards Gembrook / Emerald then take the C424 at the roundabout towards Gembrook. At Gembrook Main St. - turn left and take the C412 to Emerald - and have breakfast/coffee at the “Emerald Lake Bakery”. From there we can take the C412 and C413 home which then becomes Wellington / North Rd. or any other way you wish. That’s a 2hr round trip from the Moorabbin Mancave.For those wanting to do a longer drive, go past Gembrook - keep taking the C424 all the way to “Launching Place” and then take the C411 back to Emerald.That adds another hour driving.The C424 and C411 are the ‘Hero’ roads. Basically trying to get as much driving on those roads as you can.....sans roof!
This is a trial run for a second Pagoda coffee, adding some that are not able to do this one, so you should pencil in now for 22nd February for a second morning drive and coffee to a location to be advised. Hopefully this does not clash with any of your other club runs.
