Paint shop in Houston

Folks,
My body work was going great but hit a snag. Too date, body was stripped all the prep done. Very happy with this. Car was painted, when the doors/hood where hung, it was a slight different shade from the car.
I am  very happy with the body work and how straight the car is. The painter says he is having difficulty painting Spies Hecker, he is a PPG man. He should have told me this. I have money invested in the paint.
1. is there someone good in Houston who can paint the Speishecker in a spray shop? Body is all prepped. Need to talk to someone urgent.
2. switch to PPG global and waste the money on the paint. Not my first choice.

Need to make a decision this week. Going to take a dollar hit either way.

I would suggest you call Mike Diliberto at Royalty Paint & Body (assuming that is not where your car is).  He is located at 5618 Schumacher Lane, right near the intersection of 59 and Chimney Rock.

If he can't help he should be able to suggest someone who can.

My guess is that it’s not the paint at all.  If you paid for Spies Hecker paint you We’re not looking to have corners cut in the application process. The proper procedure would have been to spray the jams with base coat while the doors are off then put the doors back on to spray base Coat on the full exterior at once. Then take the doors back off to spray the clearcoat to ensure a smooth complete finish inside the jams and a nice transition to the exterior.  Painting the doors separately will often result in different shade if it’s metallic regardless of the paint used.
