250SL Fuel injection pump wiring
« on: May 09, 2019, 11:06:34 »
Hi Gents,
Please help.
I have had my 250SL fuel injection pump rebuilt and restored.
Unfortunately, I lost the photos of the wiring to the solenoid at the back of the pump as well as the fotos of the termo time switch wires.
I have two leads, one with a white and a brown wire
And another with two black wires, one with a white tracer and one with a green tracer.
Much appreciated.
Regards
Chris

Hi,
attached a picture of the start electric wiring of a 280SL, colors could be changed. Maybe it can help.

The ring terminals on wiring on the thermo time switch are different sizes for the two different size screws used. If the wiring is original, the wires will fit on only one way.  On the IP solenoid, the brown wire is ground (earth). I believe these wires can be connected to either terminal.

Thanks WRe and Joe,
Yep, the wiring seems original and in good condition. I found the lug with the bigger hole and the bigger screw on the thermo time switch. All sorted, thanks.
Much appreciated gents.
Cheers
