Headlight chrome bezel spring clip
« on: June 01, 2019, 19:23:43 »
I have just had my bezels back from the chromer and one of the riveted top spring clips has corroded at the end which means I cannot successfully attach it to the car. Thinking of finding a way to repair it unless they can be purchased?

Any advice would be gratefully received :(

Thanks for that very useful link. Are the spring clips / brackets available to buy sperately as it is one of these I need to replace?

Thanks again

Problem solved!
I managed to make a new steel tab and carefully MIG welded it to the existing clip.

Sounds nice; can you post a picture of the repair?

Ashley, I was going to write that these parts are difficult to find. For the spring clip I was looking for a bezel in a bad shape to buy it and take it from there as I was not skilled enough to fabricate it.

For the little tab with threaded hole for the bottom fixing - I fabricated it.

Good you managed to fix your spring clip!
