Exhaust pipes (280Sl LHD)
« on: June 05, 2019, 15:25:31 »
Hello,

I have recently replaced my Exhaust for a new stainless steel.
The mufflers were in really bad shape but the front pipes seem in good shape.
Please note they were cut just before the join.
If anyone is interested, I can provide them duly blasted and painted (appropriate paint) for 50€ plus shipping or a fair offer.
Kind regards
Francisco

Do you find the sound different with the stainless exhaust vs stock ?
Is it louder and higher pitched?
Curious because it will soon be time for a replacement on my 250 SL.

thanks,

Hi Zack,
It took a while since I last heard my engine, so I could not recall a relevant difference in the sound.
It sounds nice.
As it should.
Cheers
