230SL engineering tags
« on: February 15, 2005, 01:23:08 »
What labels did a 230SL originally have?  (Earlier postings on this topic seem to address only the 280SL).

Mine has original labels giving the tire pressures (inside the trunk lid) and instructions for storing the soft top (inside the boot), both in German.  I believe there was also originally a label on the coolant reservoir, I assume also in German for a Euro car.  Any others?

Chris,
the site www.sternschuppen.de/pdf/Satzliste.pdf has a selection of label sets. Item 34 on page 12 of this pdf file is for the 230 SL. It shows a German label set with  about 12 labels for Euro 31.-
According to the German pagoda discussion forum it can be ordered from company TSW via Tel. 01149 209 496565 for about Euro 20.-

Many thanks for the info, Klaus.  I'll get in touch with one or the other place to get the tags.
