Is There A Bracket Holding Warm Up Air Line On FIP Side?
« on: October 05, 2019, 14:33:13 »
In the late version (280SL) the metal line providing warm up air from WRD to CSV, goes around back of the engine, is held by a bracket to intake manifold - but is it held by any bracket in the back of the engine or on the FIP side?

I cannot find it on the pictures I have.

There is a rubber piece between this line and WRD fitting. On this side this line feels a bit "unfixed" - I thought prhaps there is some bracket there holding it that I am not aware of...

There's a bracket on the intake manifold that is shared with the dip stick tube for an automatic trans car but that's all I can think of.

Seems like I put a section of rubber hose over the metal pipe behind the head just in case it wants to rattle. Yes, it is a bit loose on the WRD side.

Thank you all for your kind replies!

wwheeler - I also had rattle there, against the firewall. And I also applied some sleeve, but it was about inserting th metal piece deeper into the rubber piece going into the WRD.

No bracket there, thank you!
