Red driver's side reflector
« on: December 15, 2019, 16:16:36 »
Just took a nice 500 mile road trip and looks like I lost the reflector.    Is the part #000-826-05-41?    Bought new ones 10 years ago when I repainted the car and seems like the prices have gone out of sight on these.    69 so mine is just a reflector.     Anyone have one or recommend a vendor to get a new one?

Thanks

Dana,

All the usual suspects have these, Buds, Authentic Classics, Miller, KK Mfg. Bad news is that the prices from each are all about the same. In the range of $200 ouch - pricey indeed.

Pretty sure these are the same on BMWs and even old Audis.

Bet you can find a real cheap one on ebay.

Converted my 69 to look pre 68. Have four side reflectors. All for $100 + shipping.

I have a need for a specific style of 280sl reflectors. Apparently 2 styles were used. The type most commonly sold as a replacement has two screws that attach from the backing plate https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=30145.0;attach=242739;image. The other uses screws that are fixed to the ends of the lens under the frame https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=30145.0;attach=242741;image. If your reflectors are still available, which of these descriptions match?
