That is why I think these drains are so important even if you do not drive in the rain.
That is also why I am not sure it is the best practice to wash the car with plenty of water before you cover it and store away for the winter....

It is better to keep a car clean at all times, whether recent or old. However I never wash any of my old cars with running water. I wipe them clean very gently with a soft humid cloth (microfiber).
