I am missing both of the large soft top springs.  K&K sells them at $32.00 each.  Does anyone know an alternative source for these springs, hopefully at a lower cost.  Seems a bit high for springs...
Thanks,
Bob

Gee, when anything is less then $50 I'm happy...but that's just me.  My car is in storage else I'd help; but find the dimensions of the springs and you can probably find something off the shelf that might work.  Try http://www.springsfast.com or http://www.allrite.com/index.html or http://www.generalwirespring.com/  Once you have some idea of dimensions you should be able to source them alternatively.

Hi Mike,

I know....  $64 bucks is small change compared to the $1,000's already spent on our cars...  just seems a lot for springs.

Can someone please take a picture of the correct OEM soft top spring and post it.  Also, post the measurement(the length and diameter)...?

Thanks!!!
Bob

So you're saying you don't want to "spring" for the factory parts?

I bought a factory set for my last SL and bit the bullet. I'll tell you this -- those suckers are subjected to a lot of tension. For me, the extra $20 or $30 was worth it knowing they're up to the task.
