Membership Contact Issue
« on: April 04, 2005, 17:33:37 »
I just tried to send an email to membership@SL113.org and got the message back stating "account is over quota"(?).

Anyway, is there a way to "upgrade" to a full membership and just pay the fee or do I need to register over again?

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin,

You're logged in as a forum user, but not as either a Basic or Full Member. Sign up and use Paypal if you want immediate membership. I'll make sure Pagoda World #5 gets in your hands this week.

Mailbox Full:

The Administrator was asleep at the switch here (that's me),
sorry  :o(

The membership@SL13.org mail box has been cleaned out and messages should go through OK now...(vizualize a picture of fingers crossed)

To prevent a future email overload, the mailbox settings have been changed. Now when the system forwards the message to the proper Group Action Person, the message will be deleted from the Group mail box. Overload should be a thing of the past...and all will be OK unless the Action Person is also asleep!

Richard M, Admin...  Wide Awake now :o)

P.S. To sign up as a Full Member of the Group (paid member), use the membership application. Click on the Blue Rectangle at the top of the Message Forum page...then click on "Membership" near the top of the Home page...this takes you to information and then to the application form. Please fill in and send only ONE application else the system will generate and waste extra membership numbers for you.

Renewing members should use the Renewal button so they will keep their existing membership number.

Any problem or questions send e-mail to membership@SL113.org

Thanks
RM

I just tried to follow your directions to see if it was time for me to renew. I could not find a "renew" button anywhere...though I did find that my subscription is several months overdue. Is there not supposed to be an annual reminder that one's membership is coming up for renewal? I appreciate that there isn't constant requests for $, but I wouldn't object to paying what's due, if I knew, and could do so easily...I see mention of paypal but without the renewal button or a link to the accounts department (and I thought this site was started by an accountant :D )how would the payments get linked if I just paypaled (new english :( )the funds???
Not complaining...the volunteers here do a fantastic job...hoping that it can be made easier and maybe jar the deadbeats into coughing up[:0]
Also we need some new emoticons

1.  Go to home page (www.SL113.org)
2.  Click on Membership, near the top center of screen.
3.  Click on Application for Full Membership at the bottom.
4.  Click the radio button at the bottom for New Membership or Renewal as appropriate for your needs.

:?:  :?:  :?:

Now that this has come to light, I'm thinking it may be time to renew my membership. Should I assume that I will receive some kind of notification that this is the case or is it up to the individual member to determine expiration and renew accordingly?

Please advise.

Allow me to explain. One of the perks of Full Membership is a one-year subscription to our magazine, Pagoda World. Since my first issue is late, it only makes sense that Full Members should have their membership extended to include this issue that they're entitled to. We'll resume the normal push for renewals once PW5 is out there.

Rodd.

It told me this info at some point in the renewal process. It might have been near the end where, in my case, Paypal took over. It clearly stated my previous year's start and finish date. Hope this helps.

Ben, I'll make sure you're on the list. What I'm doing now is printing out flourescent labels that will go on any member's envelope whose membership is about to expire. It will have a gentle reminder and URL to simplify renewal payment.
