Just discovered: the throttle switch I had on the shelf and wanted to replace today turns in the opposite direction vs. the one I had in the car...
I just cleaned up my old one and put it back.
I did not know they may be turning in different directions. There is no way to re-arrange them.
How do I look for the correct one when I am buying it on e.g. ebay?
I know that when I hold it the way it goes on the throttle, it should turn right. But how to explain it to an ebay seller?
I think with help from wwheeler we managed to figure out what this switch is. I think PN is A 0005453404. Fits engines:
M127982 and M127984 - so fits cars W111 014 (220SEb),
M100981, M100982 and M100983 - so it fits all W100 cars and W109 018 (300SEL 6.3)
