Gernold from SL Tech brought one of these to PUB in 2007? Back then you had to come up with about $250K to get one. I have pictures of the car. I believe Tom Seargent later purchased it. It is an interesting approach to doing a restomod but not sure I see the value. To each his own. There is a market. Be it small.

That was sold at Auction  in Dubai (Silverstone Auctions) a few months back
Silverstone never posted the sale results

I like them and have seen their work. Don’t have the money but if I did😃

I like restomods, particularly if you start with just a chassis without an engine or have a chassis with a non-matching engine.

Interesting that they give you a tow rope as well as booster cables....

They've gone to the V8
When I visited in 2006 I think they used the  R170 SLK320 engine, which is a V6

Very high price for an older version automatic. With a modern 5 or 6 speed manual may be worth it.

Not too crazy about the center console; should have at least painted it the gray shade same as the dash.

I would have put in a 280hp M104 AMG motor from a C36.  AT least it'd still be a 6-cylinder, which is more fitting.  And then put a 6-speed manual in it for that kind of coin.

Also for that money, you'd think it'd have modern rack and pinion steering and a fully independent rear end.
