Conversion from left to right hand drive
« on: November 15, 2020, 21:58:32 »
There is a 230 that is up for auction which claims to have been converted from left to right hand drive?  Is that likely or even possible?

There is one in Melbourne Australia that has been converted.  I had a look at it and if I had not been told I probably would not have noticed a couple of minor work around.

So yes it can be done, but, it apparently was a hell of a job.

It is a major undertaking (if done properly);
Bulkhead, bulkhead support, dash and front chassis rails are all different.
I have seen one that had been done and it wasn't difficult to tell.
