Accelerator pedel mount welded to floor or free floatin?
« on: October 08, 2020, 17:23:58 »
Is the accelerator pedal mount welded to the floor panel or is it just attached to the rubber pedal?  When I pulled up my carpeting , I found rust at the exact area and wondered if it broke loose or was never attached.  Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Thanks, After I pulled the carpet up the mount was loose and still attached to the rubber  pedal.

If your floor panels are still strong enough, you can weld it back in. I took some dimensions before I removed my bracket and can post them if needed.
(Not sure if I would go that route but if welding is not an option, you could probably drill holes and screw the bracket to the floor.)

Thanks, the screw  solution seems  most probable

Hi Dirk,

Would you mind posting your dimensions please?  I am just going through process of replacing my floor panels.  The original bracket was missing.

Steven,
The dimensions I wrote down before I cut the floors out:
3 3/4" (85.7mm) from the tunnel wall to the outer edge. See pic
2 1/4" (57.1mm) from the transition of the floor panels  to the front edge of the bracket. See pic

Hope that helps
