Steering Shaft Removal
« on: November 14, 2020, 19:56:38 »
I wanted to ask if indeed steering shaft removal is as easy as BBB describes it (280SL)? And to put it back?

In essence: remove the steering wheel, combination switch, hub and pull it out.

After recent work on car geometry, I adjusted steering box to be in the middle and this resulted in the shaft being somewhat off. The turn signals are cancelling ok, but I would have to put it in order one day.

I am afraid that even though removing the shaft would be easy, but would it be easy to turn it and put back?
