GOOD FUEL INJECTORS
« on: December 14, 2020, 14:13:19 »
I have seen posts regarding new fuel injectors being bad right out of the box.
Does anyone have any good known fuel injectors?
I am open to at least 1 to a full set.
Thanks
Peter

Peter,
I was in the same situation. Have you considered buying a test unit? It lets you test your old ones and verifying possible new ones work correctly. It gives you a piece of mind that knowing the injectors are good prior to putting them in.

Hi,
I support Dirk because old  injectors are sometimes better than new ones and it's really easy to test them even to build your own test equipment. You can get a test unit for less than one injector would cost. There are also special workshops which can test and clean your old injectors.

I bought an injector tester here https://www.fiptestbenches.com/injector-nozzle-testers.html

Works well for our gas injectors and I believe is under $100. The gauge is more for higher pressure diesel, but can be changed. I use Kerosene in mine to test. You really want to see the spray pattern and the fact that the injector shuts off and doesn't continue to dribble. This tester will do that. If you have the early 220SE injectors, which are near impossible to find, using a tester is invaluable and highly recommended.

Hey Peter,
Did you find your injectors?
Looks like I’ll need some as well.
