removing Emission control Unit
« on: January 06, 2021, 10:53:52 »
Hi all, hope all is well. I have a 1971 W113 280 SL from the US which has an emissions control unit. I would like to remove it. Can anyone advise on what I would need to do. Surely its not as simple as just removing it? I am prepared to change the old point distributor for an electronic  123 system too and need advice on where I can get one from in UK.
Thanks in advance

You will find a lot on the subject if you search the forum.
In short, if you remove your emission controls and buy a fully programmable 123 unit, you don't need to change your throttle body.
