Not so from what I've been told. Repro frames are being made - no chrome though but that's the way MB originally sold them. Chrome will be available as repro at some point.

Sorry, proprietary info at this point.

At some point,  MB’s replacement top discontinued the locking catch (when completely down) as it would rub the edge of the top and cause abrasion.  Hence, if ever find an NOS factory replacement, don’t be puzzled that catch is missing.

Original new W111 softtop frames were still available from the factory
at least until a few years ago.

They might even still be today.
At a price - for sure ....

Otherwise,
the usual used-parts guys around in the country.

My family has owned a body shop specializing  in non bondo (lead only) repairs for over 50 years. It will be closing soon and there are multiple 113 top frames as well as a 111 top frame that may be available. Does anyone have an idea as to the value of the 111 frame? A 190 SL frame and hardtop may also be available.
