I'm thinking about replacing the leather upholstery on the front seats my E320 coupe, and will also be buying a interior kit for my SL, Who should I buy from? Always heard that GAHH is the best, but thier also pricey, I Got a carpet set from World, that seems sort of cheap, is all there stuff like that. Anyone ever buy from Basic or preformance products :?:

I think GAHH offers different grades of leather, so you probably have some choice as far as price.

I think that GAHH makes seat covers for most of the resellers. Last fall I bought a new leather seat cover and armrest cover for my 84 300SD from ADSIT. I shopped around and chose ADSIT because their online price was over a hundred dollars less than GAHH. Performance Products prices were about the same on the seat cover but I could not get an armrest from them and wanted to be sure the armrest was made from the same dye lot as the seat.
The covers I got were perfect and came from the same address in California as GAHH.

If you're looking to buy a complete set from GAHH they claim to match up all the hides for a uniform look.  If you're buying different pieces at a time you may not have that uniformity.

On these seat covers there is a $400 spread between GAHH and preformance products[:0]

Norton, with this difference in $$ then the next question is... If this car is a keeper or just a temporary ride until something else comes around?  If it's in for the long haul go with GAHH if not go the less expensive route.

It's a keeper, The car was $7300 from a wholesaler in DC,92000 miles, excellent service records, runs and drives great, but the car looked like it had been thru many automatic car washers. I thought I was going to have to paint it, but a weeks worth of touch up, rubbing, and waxing have made it look really good. The leather on the front seats is not to bad really, but there's some cracking on the side bolsters, and the bottoms, the rest of the interior is about mint, so I was thinking about replacing the front seat covers, I'll spend the 40% extra to go with GAHH if there really is that big a difference in quality.
