Distributor part number for 280SL Aug 69
« on: October 06, 2021, 19:12:20 »
I have looked at the pagoda club site on the distributor changes that took place at different dates of manufacture, but I find it confusing as there are two columns on either side of the date info. I am attaching a screenshot of that part of the page.

Can anyone tell me what the correct part number is for a 280SL distributor if the car was built in August of ‘69?

Thank you,
RB

It is 051 that replaced 009.

Those numbers are in the June line. Shouldn’t it be a number from the next line that deals with July?

Sorry, you are right!

The most important: it needs to fit throttle type - advance or retard.

So then, is it the 062? What is the other number under the “Remarks” column?

It is the Bosch number that was replaced, I think.
