Just for fun at the end of Christmas: I have fabricated a cleaning device for rusty threads (picture enclosed).
It is a replacement of a vice and a wire brush. A couple of layers of rubber and steel net. Very efficient and simple you just screw and unscrew a screw a couple of time through it.
Before you make fun of me please note that it works like a charm!
