SL work in Seattle WA?
« on: December 01, 2006, 13:00:16 »
Anyone on this board from that area?  I am relocating out there from Chicago and will be bring my SL with me, naturally.  Just wanted to know if there is a good resto shop or machine shop for any work I might need done.
Thanks
Jason

Jazn,

Good luck on your move.  I can think of three members out that way--Pete Lange (theengineer); Dorian Garson (proprietor of Pagoda113.com) and Craig DeVine.  Hopefully you can contact them.

Craig has a mechanic in Issaquah--an independent--that I understand is pretty good.  In fact, one of our other members, Roman Bartl (who is moving back to Austria in 2 weeks from Ann Arbor, MI) looked at a 280SL to buy in Bellevue, and Craig put him in touch with that mechanic for the PPI.

I think you'll be in good hands out there!

Jason,
Contact me and I'll put you in touch with at least 2 great W113 mechanics.  When are you moving?

Well, I start officially on the 18th of Dec.  The full move won't be until sometime after I get out there and get an idea of the areas around there.  I will be working for Amgen, in downtown Seattle.  Have you heard of them?  Anyways, thanks for the contact, I will definitely be need their services.  You don't find the rain in Washington to rust out your SL?
Thanks again
Jason
