Foggy rear window.
« on: February 13, 2022, 02:37:38 »
Not sure why I could not find my prior post on a foggy (very foggy) rear soft top window. But ive spent several days on making it so I can see through it and with some great advice on here I have got it to work and the the procedure is the same as for wet sanding paint and it works! I will post a pic tomorrow but basically its the following process.

wet sand with 400/320 grit. 2 passes. (you will need 3m or similar 2 quarter sheets of paper and some washing up liquid)
wet sand with  600 grit. 2 passes
wet sand with 800 grit 2 passes.
wet sand with 1000 grit 2 passes.
wet sand with 1500 grit 2 passes.
wet sand with 2000 grit 2 passes
wet sand with Trizac 3000 2 passes.
use Migruires Plastice polish for headlight.

The last step with trizac 3000 makes it clear and the polish finishes it off. It was heavily pitted in some parts but all the steps did the job.
