Hey everyone,
Here is the link to the photos of our 1971 280SL that we are purchasing from my wife's aunt's estate:  https://photos.app.goo.gl/dNHRCd4Vx7ZpgJy67

Comments / Suggestions / Questions / ....

Would love to hear what you think about it.  I am arranging shipping from San Fran to Houston (Intercity) in the next few days.  Fired up to be getting it here (going to speak to Gus and arrange to bring it to him for him to give it the once over)

Odometer shows 13,578 miles.  (I know it's probably 113,578 but I dont' care).  Owned by my wife's aunt (original and only owner who was very wealthy who had another MB, and her own personal driver and rarely if ever drove this car since 1993 or so we were told by family members).

That looks like a great car and one that won’t require much work.  Get the mechanics in order first and try to preserve everything you can.  An original car in great shape is a treasure.

Looks to be in good condition. Make sure the tires are not to far past their 'due date' (10-12 years). If you don't have recent service history, I would replace all the fluids (engine and transmission oil, brake fluid, coolant) to be on the safe side.

The Jetsons' antenna on the trunk lid is a bit of a shame.

Lol.  Agree on the Jetson antenna.  Maybe I can get the hole fixed.  Ok. On the fluids, and tires.  I appreciate the input.

You might consider giving the car to Gus Kidonakis at Beverly Hill Motors here in Houston (713-977-9612) to recommission it. He is the master and works on my Pagodas   Feel free to PM me if you would like more information.

Good luck.
