Dear All

I am installing a newly serviced 3.69 rear differential / axle in my 1971 280SL, and I am about to fill the differential with new hyponoid oil.

I have bought 3L of the mineral based Castrol Classic EP90 (EP=Extreme Pressure) hyponoid oil, which is a GL-4 SAE90 oil: https://classicoilsshop.co.uk/ep90

Do any of you have experiences with this rear differential oil, and can you recommend it for the w113?

Thanks,

Christian

I've been using synthetic gear lube regardless of brand. Just better lube all the way around. I bet most new cars use it now.
