splash guard
« on: August 20, 2022, 17:04:34 »
I am putting my 1970 280SL back together after a very long restoration process, and lots of fun.
I have found the splash guard seals and I have realized that my metal fabricator/ mechanic welded the splash guards into place. I have the car painted and do not want to cut them out. Will I have a problem if I just seal them up with Sika 221 sealer?

There is nothing back there you need to access.  The antenna is accessed from inside the car and the wiring for the door switches is also from inside the car.
