Screw or hex head bolt to fasten grille trim
« on: July 28, 2023, 21:51:55 »
Can anyone tell me what the correct hardware is to attach the outside edge of the chrome horizontal trim piece running from the grille star barrel to the chrome grill surround. From what I see the other side is attached with a small hex head bolt. I would remove it to compare but can’t get a wrench or socket on it due to the lip below the bolt head being bent upward slightly. Thanks

That’s the fastener I’m looking to replace, thanks. Can you tell me what the thread pitch is?

I think this is standard M5, which would be 0.8mm.

Mercedes part number is N 000933 005036, which, decoded, tells us this is steel, M5x8, finished high polish galvanized iridescent passivation, standard version.
